to the Tanglin Trust School, Singapore kindly arranged by
SDEA member Simon Veness. 12 members, which was the maximum
number catered for, visited the school and got to observe
the school's drama programme in action. |

The social was tied in with the drive to encourage members
to renew their membership for 2005. The names of all members,
new or renewals, who had paid up their dues for 2005 were
included in a lucky draw held at the social. Prizes, all of
which were donated, included a Theatre Pass of free tickets
to productions by various theatre companies, Hang Ten (apparel)
gift vouchers, food vouchers and toiletries gift packs. |

Dramazing Race held in conjunction and support by the
National Library Board Speak Good English Movement.
The event, flagged off at Tanjong Katong Secondary schools,
saw 29 schools participating. The SDEA Dramazing Race route
involved 8 libraries island wide. The event was a fund raiser
and helped generate $6000 for SDEA |

Drama Director and Educator Kok Heng Leun, Artistic Director
of Drama Box leads this 15 hour workshop. The workshop focused
on facilitation technique using Augosto Boal's strategies
in Image Theatre and Rainbow of Desires. |

Through Drama Workshop
A workshop was held by Roger Jenkins, Artistic Director of
Dramaplus Arts, on 31 July 2004. The workshop focused on how
teachers can approach history through drama. The workshop
has since been re-worked by DramaplusArts and introduced to
schools for the Singapore History Museum in 2005. |

forms and approaches to Forum Theatre. This week-long workshop

at Esplanade Mall. |
