If I Could Turn Back Time - The Retro Music Writing Club led by Kenneth Kwok
Are you ready to show your True Colours?
A lot of creative writing comes from our personal memories - and one of the strongest prompts to activate memories is music. This interest group brings members together to share informal pieces of short writing (think the length of a Facebook or Instagram post) inspired by the artists and songs from the greatest decade of pop music: the 80s!
What personal stories do you have about Michael Jackson or Madonna, Whitney Houston or Pet Shop Boys? Did you have your first dance with your secondary school crush to Within You'll Remain? Did you learn all the dance moves to Electric Youth? A combination of a writing group and listening party.

About SDEA Interest Groups
Interest Groups are ground-up initiatives led by members to empower them to advocate for what they are passionate about in drama/theatre, and do more than they would be able to on their own.
Through these interest groups we can harness the diverse interests and voices of our membership and will help SDEA identify and advocate for changes that are relevant.
If you would like to pitch us an idea for an interest group, drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
About Level Up! Fest
Level Up! Fest is SDEA’s platform to recognise, celebrate, and bring focus to the importance of professional development of the theatre/drama educator.
From workshops and courses, to career chats and talks, there are many opportunities for you to Level Up! and give yourself a booster as a professional in the arts.
We will also be highlighting professional development opportunities organised by other companies and organisations. If you have a workshop, course, or masterclass happening in the month of November, let us know by dropping an email with the details to email@example.com, and we'll aggregate for the month.
As professionals, there is no maximum level. There is always something we can do to Level Up!
