Nominations for Committee 2023-2025

The current Committee for the term of 2021-2023 will end their term on 20 September 2023 at the 21st Annual General Meeting, and a new committee will be voted in to lead SDEA and its advocacy and professional development efforts for the next 2 years. This could be you!

We are looking for leaders and advocates to push for the advancement of the profession of the drama/theatre educator, and advocate for the value and practice of drama and theatre in performance, education, and community. This will be a two-year volunteer commitment that will grant you a unique experience in leading an arts intermediary, inspiring change in the ecosystem, and enabling good work to happen.

Alternatively, if you know someone you would like to represent you in the committee, nominate them (with their consent of course)!

If you have any enquiries on nominations, drop us an email at office@sdea.org.sg, or contact 6345 6997.

The above nominees have submitted a completed and valid nomination form, and will be giving a short speech at the AGM before voting. You may click on each nominee's name to read their nomination forms and backing member's testimonials.

The same name may appear multiple times above. This reflects the nominees acceptance to run for multiple roles in the committee, though they may only be voted in for one. A nominee running for both Vice-President and Committee Member for instance, will go through the vote for Vice-President first. If they are successful, they can no longer be voted in as a committee member.

Members are reminded to consider each nominee individually based on their suitability for the role. This is in accordance to the principles of the Code of Governance for Charities and IPCs (2017, April 2023):

"Ensure the Board is diverse and of an appropriate size, and has a good mix of skills, knowledge, and experience. All Board members should exercise independent judgement and act in the best interest of the charity."
