Intern Reflection: Vaishnavi Kirupananthan

Vaishnavi Kirupananthan started her internship with SDEA in September 2021 and recently wrapped her time here with us as an Arts Administration Intern. Here's what Vaish has to say about her time here with us:

"I genuinely had the best and the most meaningful time during my stint here. In the five months, I was happy every day and I never once had to drag myself to work. In fact, I was always looking forward to learning something new each day. I also felt like I had gotten quite attached to everyone here. Arts Administration is very different from what I’m currently doing in my polytechnic course in Applied Drama & Psychology, I had little prior knowledge and had to start from ground zero. The email practices, organisational skills and communication skills which were completely new to me at the beginning have now become good habits and useful practices

The project I was the proudest of would definitely have to be Project Vocare led by the interns. It was a journey from brainstorming ideas at the start, to working with the other interns and I am extremely proud of how far we have come as a team. I am thankful to be amongst like-minded people who have worked so hard to conceptualize, plan and execute the project (and now we’re done!). And I am also definitely proud of how we have progressed from being quiet and awkward during online meetings to the endless laughter and fun now."
