Presenting Grant Writing 101

Commissioned by the National Arts Council and developed by SDEA, Grant Writing 101 consists of a series of five bite-sized videos and an online panel discussion aimed at equipping you with the necessary skills to craft and prepare strong grant applications.

This series of five bite-sized videos will guide you from applying for grants and residencies to reporting your project outcomes.

This step-by-step video guide will cover:

  1. Understanding the Grant Context
  2. Managing the Grant Timeline
  3. Planning the CV, Biography and References 
  4. Writing the Budget and Grant Application
  5. Reporting the Successful Grant Project

Online Panel Discussion

These videos will be followed by an online panel discussion titled The Realities of Grant Writing led by Denise Dolendo, Fajrina Razak, and Mohamad Shaifulbahri, and moderated by Jeffrey Tan. The panelists will discuss their personal experiences in applying for grants both locally and internationally, as well as  dive into the opportunities and challenges they have encountered.
