Singapore Polytechnic is looking for a new appointee to be a part of the Diploma in Applied Drama and Psychology teaching team. More details on the responsibilities and requirements can be found below. Closing date for applications is on 14 August 2017. Apply for the position here.
Responsibilities:
- Be able to teach modules like Drama-in-Education, Theatre-in-Education, Forum Theatre, Acting and Directing
- Handle module coordination work which includes designing module content, assessments and reviewing modules when the need arises
- Take charge of projects which serve to enhance our students' learning (for e.g. organising learning journeys, masterclasses and overseas study trips)
- Participate actively in outreach activities (for e.g. giving talks to sec school students and planning programmes for sec school students)
Requirements:
- At least 3 years' work experience with applied drama/theatre work, either in an educational setting or community setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A team player who is also able to work independently
- Ability to multi-task and work with tight deadlines
- Must be adaptable and enjoy engaging and interacting with young people
- Preference will be given to those with a diploma or certificate in Teaching or Education and teaching/training experience, especially at tertiary level
- Relevant qualification in Applied Drama, Applied Theatre or Theatre
