Support for Members to Attend the Theatre Arts Conference 2025

SDEA Members can now apply for the Tina Sergeant Professional Development Initiative (TSPDI) to support their attendance of the SDEA Theatre Arts Conference 2025!

Each year, the initiative provides subsidies to SDEA events, masterclasses or training programmes and is offered to SDEA members who are practitioners and educators based in Singapore. Through this initiative, we wish to encourage practitioners and educators to make professional development a regular part of their practice.

Applicants will undergo a short interview. Chosen applicants will receive up to SGD$300 in subsidies for the SDEA Theatre Arts Conference 2025.

The fund was created in loving memory of Christina Sergeant – a dearly missed actor, director, drama educator and dear friend.

Applicants must be:

  • Associate or Ordinary members

Applicants must:

  • Show proof or an interest in regular professional development
  • Show how skills and knowledge learnt will benefit a larger community
  • Currently be based in Singapore or contributing to the Singapore Drama Education landscape

As part of the commitment for being a recipient, you are expected to provide a short sharing on how attending this programme has benefitted you. This could be in the form of a quick video or a written statement. We may use these materials for archival, the facilitation of feedback, and marketing for future programs.
