Focus Groups

Creating deep and open discussions to enable good work to happen.

About Focus Groups

Focus groups led by SDEA members help to create deep and open discussions to gather information that will enable the community to work towards better practices in drama education. This can range from discussions on creating better terms and conditions for practitioners, to better understanding the needs of MOE school based drama educators.

If you would like to form or kickstart a discussion in the form of a focus group, drop us an email at office@sdea.org.sg stating your intent. We will respond to you shortly on how we can move forward.

Focus Group for Standard and Ideal Terms and Conditions

This focus group led by Aiswariyah Shanmuganathan with the involvement of Attorney Roland Samosir is focused on creating a set of ideal terms and conditions that will protect freelancers and self-employed drama educators better in the future.

The group was borne out of a need for better terms and conditions during the circuit breaker in response COVID-19, where many educators lost majority of their income due to cancellations and postponements of work.

If you are a freelance practitioner or drama educator and wish to contribute to this focus group, drop us an email at membership@sdea.org.sg
